Terms of Service

01What the Service is

• •Daily check-ins & care: you (or someone you care about) taps once a day to say "I’m okay"; after a prolonged silence, the system alerts teammates you chose so they can check in nearby.
• •Letter Doves: plain-text letters between kindred spirits (once launched).
• •Community gatherings: information that helps people step from online back into real neighborhoods (once launched).

02What the Service is NOT (please understand this)

The Service is a companionship and reminder system — not a medical service, not emergency rescue, not a security system.

• •Reminders can be delayed or fail due to device shutdown, network outages, system restrictions, or other factors. We do our best, but cannot guarantee delivery.
• •In an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately. Do not rely on the Service.
• •The Service is no substitute for medical care, nursing, or any professional service.

This is our honest line of responsibility: we give companionship our very best, but in life-critical moments, please turn to professional responders.

03Accounts and eligibility

• •Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
• •Minors should use the Service only after a legal guardian has read and agreed to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
• •One account per person; do not impersonate others.

04Teammates and location sharing

• •Accepting a teammate invitation means agreeing to receive care-related notifications.
• •Please get someone’s consent before inviting them as your teammate.
• •The "attach my last location" switch is yours to control (on by default; you can opt out at initial setup and change it anytime in care settings); see section 03 of the Privacy Policy.

05Rules of conduct

To keep the community kind, please do not:

• •Harass, threaten, discriminate against, or harm other users (including in letters).
• •Impersonate others or spread fraud or illegal content.
• •Interfere with, exploit, or abuse the system (including maliciously triggering the care mechanism).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules; unlawful conduct will be handled according to law.

06Fees

• •Human-connection features — check-ins and Letter Doves — are free, forever.
• •If paid offerings ever launch, we will clearly show what they are and what they cost before you pay, and only charge with your consent. Existing free connection features will not become paid.

07Your content and IP

• •Your letters and your data belong to you. You license us to process them only as needed to provide the Service (for example, delivering a letter to its recipient).
• •The design, text, images, and code of the app and website (excluding your content) belong to us or our licensors; please do not reuse them commercially without permission.

08Changes and termination

• •We may add, adjust, or discontinue features; material changes will be announced in advance in the app and on the website.
• •You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see "Account Deletion").
• •If the Service is ever discontinued entirely, we will announce it in advance so you have reasonable time to take your data with you.

09Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided "as is"; we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10Amendments

For material amendments, the app will ask you to read and agree again via a versioned notice, with an announcement on the website. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11Governing law and venue

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
