After you sign up, you step into the chatroom for that little plan — with a nickname and an illustrated avatar, you settle on a time and place together, and you can see who's coming. Still no real photo needed, yet already enough to feel at ease.

A server watches, not your phone
The one keeping a quiet eye out is our server — not a power-hungry app on your phone. Just keep your phone with you and use it as you normally would; it only sends a light "still here" now and then, and never has to run full-tilt, draining its battery to stand guard.
If your lamp stays dark too long, a gentle nudge
If your lamp hasn't lit up for a long while, we simply and quietly remind the person you chose in advance. No alarms, no headlines.
Your data is not for sale
We will never sell your data to anyone. That line was drawn clearly from the very start.

No. The city is quiet by default — no red-dot barrages, no comparing yourself to anyone. It’s there for the moment you feel like heading out, and not before.
Never. PeiPao uses illustrated avatars by default. A real photo is your own choice, never a requirement.
Each day you light one small lamp to tell the people who care about you, “I’m okay.” It’s a warm little daily ritual.
No. If your lamp stays dark for a while, we simply give a gentle nudge to the people you chose beforehand. We never report to any agency.
